Whether you are an experienced writer or trying something new, we want your help. The formula is simple: writing pieces that center Somerville and Cambridge, Greater Boston, or New England and writers who are coming in with ideas that excite them, or are willing to take an assignment.

“Revue” is an old ass word for a variety show and NCR is not much different. Like a sixth grade talent show or the OG Muppets, each Issue is a little bit of everything. We compile submitted work from a variety of genres to make one collection of writing. Below are the basic categories we feature. Check ‘em and let us know where you’d best fit in.

If you have something burning a hole in your Notes app, reach out to us directly. Otherwise, we’ll send you a Call for Writing when we are next on the hunt. We usually work with writers to hone in on their idea and offer a round of edits once we have something submitted.
